The Rattlesnake Lodge

Nestled off of the Blue Ridge Parkway are the remains of a vacation home built by Dr. Chase P. Ambler in 1904. Nicknamed “Rattlesnake Lodge” for the living room ceiling decorated with rattlesnake skins, this home sat on a whopping 1,600 acres of land in what would have been a very secluded part of the NC wilderness.

Join Khal on location at the remains of the Rattlesnake Lodge to hear about the home, Dr. Ambler, and how his legacy as an outdoor enthusiast continues to live on today.
