Trip Description

Join us for a fun and festive excursion to Madison, Georgia! It happens to be the start of the holiday season, and it’s the perfect time of year to take an invited look inside those lovely homes that Madison is known for. We’ll enjoy a backroads drive through the Georgia Piedmont to Madison, taking in off-the-radar stunners like the Watson Mill Covered Bridge, the time-lost town of Lexington, and the original site of Mercer College. We’ll join in the fun of the Tour of Homes in Madison on Friday, using the James Madison Inn as our base (two nights). On Saturday, we’ll depart Madison for the charms of small town and rural Georgia – uncovering treasures along our route back into South Carolina.
