An Explorer's New York
November 1 - 5, 2018
This is our most Up Close and personal encounter with New York – from stories behind the city’s geography, lay-out, and historical growth, to the latest in museums, architecture, public spaces, and quintessential New York. We’ll spend four nights in a comfortable and high-standard Manhattan hotel – perfectly situated for easy exploration by foot and subway. Elements of our de rigeur exploration will include a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, the improbable angles and views of the city from the Roosevelt Island Tram, two art museums you probably haven’t heard of, the High Line and the Chelsea Markets, and an up close look at one of the city’s burgeoning neighborhoods. We’ll round out these highlights with the right amount of down time, and opportunities for more exploring. Dust off your walking shoes, and let's go! [This trip will be limited to 14 participants.]
Trip Price: $2379 / person (double occupancy; single supplement, $650); price includes 4 nights accommodation in a classic 4-star Manhattan hotel; 1 brunch and 2 dinners; all touring / entrances / Broadway show; guide / concierge service throughout; ground transportation in New York (airport shuttle, subway pass, taxi or Uber to Broadway show and return).
