The Scenic Southwest: Santa Fe and Taos

April 30 – May 5, 2019

Springtime in the Land of Enchantment

Late spring is a perfect time of year to experience one of the jewels of the Southwest – with its wide blue skies, vibrant art and culture, and fascinating history. We’ll fly in and out of Albuquerque, and enjoy three nights in Santa Fe and two nights in Taos. Expect stunning landscapes, a wealth of cultural treasures, and some of New Mexico’s most special places en route as we immerse ourselves in the awe-inspiring Land of Enchantment.

Trip highlights:

  • The galleries, museums, boutiques, and eateries of beautiful Santa Fe – all just steps away from our historic downtown lodging
  • The rocky mesas, cliff dwellings, and petroglyphs of Bandelier National Monument, and the lush mountain meadows and abundant wildlife of Valles Caldera
  • Taos Pueblo, the ancient community of the Taos Pueblo Native Americans and a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu– where Georgia O’Keeffe found infinite painting inspiration in the desert landscape

Trip price: $2405 / person (double occupancy; single supplement, $440); price includes 5 nights accommodation and breakfast in high-standard inns; 3 lunches and 3 dinners; all touring per the itinerary; comfortable chauffeured transportation; and small group warmth and attention to detail. Price does not include airfare, optional activities, alcohol, or optional trip insurance.

Chumley’s take:  New Mexico – and the entire Southwest – dazzles. It’s fascinating to learn about the people who found home in its deserts and mesas – and fun to imagine that we live here, too.
