Explore Charleston's Drayton Hall - Virtual House Tour

Tuesday, April 6th | 11:00AM EST

Join Explore Up Close and Trish Smith, Curator of Historic Architectural Resources at Drayton Hall, as we enjoy a guided private house tour - virtually, that is!

Founded in 1738, Drayton Hall is the nation’s earliest example of fully executed Palladian architecture, and the oldest preserved plantation house in America still open to the public.

What's more - Drayton Hall is a rare example of a historic building that has never been restored, providing historians, archaeologists, and researchers with the opportunity to study materials from every period in the house's history. Join us as we learn about the design and purposes of the main house and outbuildings over time, and the stories they have to tell about the people who lived and worked here.

This event is FREE for Corps of Discovery members, and $10 / ticket for non-members. To learn more about our Corps of Discovery membership (a great value!), please click here.

Event Price: $10

You will receive an email confirmation from Explore Up Close on Monday, April 5th, with the link to the Zoom presentation, as well as a reminder before the event begins on April 6th.
